Rolex Sky-Dweller
One of the most anticipated watches for the past five years would have to be the Rolex Sky-Dweller. Launched at Baselworld in 2012, the Rolex Sky-Dweller drew the attention of watch enthusiast all over the world. Like most Rolex models, the Sky-Dweller was designed for a purpose; to help the worldly traveler keep time in their native country as well as their visiting country. In true Rolex fashion, this watch is impressive and spectacular.
How It Works
When looking at the Sky-Dweller face you will notice two rings of numbers. The outer ring is where the local time is shown. The inner ring is where you will see your reference time – or the local time of your home country. Under the signature Rolex crown and logo, is a red arrow that points to the exact hour on the reference dial – making reading the time easy.
The result of this simple design is an easy-to-read watch face, maybe the easiest in it’s class.
Another impressive feature is the Sky-Dweller is the Ring Command. The Ring Command is a bezel operated control ring, which allows the owner to set the date, local time and reference time from the crown.
