Rainbow Gemstone Jewelry
As the year comes to an end, I realized that I had yet to blog about one of my favorite diamond trends this year, the rainbow trend. This fall brought us such pretty colors in fashion, like plum, wine and gold; it is no wonder that these colors started to show up in jewelry.
This fall season we saw lots of graduated shades of gemstones and diamonds in necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings.
The term “graduated” means that the stones used were set by color and shade. Often done from dark to light. I have seen this done often in pearl jewelry, where the pearls graduate from white to pink, but I have not seen this done in gemstones. The result is insanely beautiful.
JCK showcased some of these impressive pieces in their November issue. This is where I first saw the Jade Jagger disco ball earrings. It was love at first sight.
Jade Jagger, has a collection called Disco Diamonds, that shows these “graduated” styles with rubies, sapphires, green onyx and amethyst. I love these pieces. They are fun, stylist and different.
I love this trend, and I get excited when people visit the shop looking for similar designs. If you are looking for the special gift for the fashionista this holiday season, these are no doubt a great option.
