Men’s Wedding Bands

Picking a wedding band for a man is a process that can take time and may even be a bit confusing. Most men are not used to wearing jewelry, and unlike their female partners, have not been dreaming of how their wedding band would look like since childhood.

The honest reality is that men tend to treat their wedding band as an afterthought. After all, they did just spend a lot of time trying to find the perfect ring for their new bride!

At Jonathan’s we sell a variety of men’s wedding bands in several different styles and metals!

Here are the main types of wedding bands for men:

Precious metals

  • Platinum
  • Palladium
  • White Gold (18k, 14k, 10k)
  • Yellow Gold (18k, 14k, 10k)

Alternative metals

  • Tungsten Carbide
  • Ceramic
  • Cobalt
  • Titanium
  • Stainless Steel

Each type of men’s wedding band has drawbacks and advantages. For example, your husband may have allergic reactions to the nickel that is found in white gold! This would mean that hypo-allergenic metals like platinum, palladium, or an alternative metal would be a good way to go.

If you aren’t sure what he wants, just ask him

This is always an interesting dynamic that we’ve noticed, but men generally don’t care nearly as much about the surprise or secrecy of a wedding band as women do.

Women literally dream about what their engagement ring will look like, how big the stone will be, the proposal, etc.

Men on the other hand don’t think nearly as much about this. In most cases, you could easily just ask him what he wants, and he’ll give a straight-forward answer!

If you want to learn more about men’s engagement rings, take a look at the in-depth guide that we’ve created here.
