The Couple
You may already know this famously outspoken couple. But you may not know how they would become ‘twin souls’!

Megan Fox
Fox, 35 was raised in Tennessee before making her modeling debut after winning several awards at the 1999 American Modeling and Talent Convention held in South Carolina.
At 17 she moved to Los Angeles and had minor roles in a few on and off screen movies before landing the role that made her famous. In 2007 Fox won a lead role in Transformers. She played the love interest of character, Sam Witwicky.
Her Transformers role catapulted her into stardom and her Hollywood sex symbol status.
She was married to Brian Austin Green from 2010-2020. They share three sons together.
Machine Gun Kelly
Machine Gun Kelly (or MGK), 31 is a rapper, musician, singer and actor. His real name is Colson Baker. His MGK name refers to his rap delivery style- which flows at a rapid-fire pace.
MGK is also a reference to George “Machine Gun Kelly” Barnes, a famous criminal criminal given a life prison sentence for illegal liquor trafficking, kidnapping, and bank robbery.
Machine Gun Kelly released several mixed tapes in the early 2000’s before being picked up by Bad Boy Records. His music is famous for blending hip hop and rock music.
How did Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly Meet?
Fox and MGK met on the set of “Midnight in the Switchgrass,” a serial killer thriller they were shooting in Puerto Rico.
There they had an instant bond. In a later interview, Fox shared her initial thoughts upon find out MGK was also cast for the thriller.
She stated, “….I could feel that some wild s— was going to happen to me from that meeting but I wasn’t yet sure what,” she continued. “I just felt it like, deep in my soul—that something was going to come from that.”
The pair began spending time together off set in 2020, amid Fox’s separation from Brian Austin Green. She was featured in his sultry music video “Bloody Valentine”, which spurred even more romance rumors.
Fox and MGK made it Instagram official in July. A year and half later, MGK put a ring on it!
The Engagement Story
The couple have referenced their love to natural disasters, mythology, and supernatural magnetism.
Fox said in an interview, “Loving him is like being in love with a tsunami or a forest fire,” she said, adding, “The intensity of merging with him is just overwhelming, and the threat it poses is so powerful but so beautiful that you have no choice to surrender with reverence and with gratitude.”
Their engagement is just as unique. Machine Gun Kelley proposed in Puerto Rico, where the couple first met.
Fox announced the engagement on Instagram with the caption: “
“In July of 2020 we sat under this banyan tree,” the actress began in the caption. “We asked for magic. We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time. Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma.”
“Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him,” Fox revealed. “And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes…and then we drank each other’s blood.”
Well, that’s one way to seal the deal.
The Ring
Finally, the meaning behind the cluster style engagement ring MGK proposed with! They don’t refer to one another as soul mates, but instead ‘twin flames.”

Megan shared in an interview shortly after the couple went public, “Instead of a soul mate, a twin flame is actually where a soul has ascended into a high enough level that it can be split into two different bodies at the same time. So we’re actually two halves of the same soul, I think. And I said that to him almost immediately because I felt it right away.”
He custom designed the ring along with jeweler Stephen Webster. The ring features an almond shaped emerald (Fox’s birthstone) and a diamond (MGK’s birthstone).
In an instagram post he shared the meaning of the design, “They (the gemstones) are set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love.”
The ring reportedly costs $340,000. MGK told Vogue that the ring is fashioned to be an actual thorn. He said, “The bands are actually thorns. So if she tries to take it off, it hurt. Love is pain!”
We can’t imagine what the actual wedding ceremony will be like, but we image it filled with over the top symbolism!
