When I think of Diamond by the Yard, I think of Elsa Peretti and Tiffany & Company, because let’s face it, she made this phenomena famous and Tiffany’s coined the term that made this fabulous strand of diamonds famous and sought after. I love diamonds by the yard, the foot or the inch, as far as I’m concerned, it’s all good.
Diamonds By The Yard
Diamonds by the yard are round brilliant cut diamonds that are bezel set on a chain by stations along the chain. The stations are basically the stopping points along the chain where the diamonds are set. The amount of stations, or diamonds, can be as many as you want, but generally it is an odd number. The diamonds are usually pretty small, and the chain is also pretty delicate.
Yellow gold or white gold, doesn’t matter. Wrap it around once, twice or three times, doesn’t matter. Wear it long or wear it short, doesn’t matter. It’s elegant, sophisticated, can be worn every day, can be worn casual or dressy, never needs to be taken off, looks great on any age, never goes out of style, and is fabulous no matter which way you cut it.
