Diamond stud earrings are the perfect gift for birthdays, anniversaries, or the holiday season.
Every year, Jonathan’s Fine Jewelers sells over 1,000 carats of diamond stud earrings. Because we have the largest loose diamond inventory in Texas, we are able to sell higher quality diamond earrings at lower prices than any large retailer or big name jewelry store.
Our process for choosing diamond stud earrings is one-of-a-kind from start to finish. You select the setting style, you select the diamonds, and you select the metal type. Our diamond experts are the best in the industry when it comes to selecting extremely high quality diamonds within your price range. We’ve also picked up several great strategies over the past 25 years that will save you a bunch of money on your earring purchase!
There are 5 things you need to know about diamond stud earrings before you buy them.
1) The quality does NOT have to be the same as an engagement ring diamonds.
We are more than happy to set flawless, colorless diamonds on your wife’s earrings if you’d like. However, you don’t necessarily have to go that route. Remember, stud earrings are not viewed nearly the same way as your wife’s engagement ring is. Her friends won’t grab her ear and pull it towards them (hopefully) to check out the diamonds. If they do…she may need new friends!
Earrings are generally viewed from two or more feet away.
If you want to save some cash around the holiday season, don’t be afraid to open yourself up to more options when it comes to the cut or clarity – most imperfections in quality diamonds can’t even be seen with the naked eye.
2) Your budget is your best friend.
Jonathan’s does business differently than the mall jewelry stores, and it has served us well for the 25 years that we have been in Houston. We never try to upsell our customers to something that they don’t want or convince them to spend more than they need to. When you schedule your appoint with us, give us a price range that you’d like to work in. We use that information to pull multiple diamonds for you to choose from. We’ll let you inspect the diamonds with all of our sweet jeweler tools and will do everything we can to help you make an educated purchase.
Our game is pretty simple: We want customers to come back.
3) You can always upgrade later down the road.
Jonathan’s Fine Jewelers makes it easy to upgrade diamond earrings later on. If you purchase a set of diamond stud earrings from us, make sure you save your receipt! When you are ready to go even bigger, we will credit the purchase price of the diamonds that you previously purchased from us towards your next set. Think of these earrings as an investment in the future.
4) Believe it or not, the metal matters…a lot.
The vast majority of diamond stud earrings that are sold from our store are in white or yellow gold. You want to be sure that her new earrings will match the majority of her everyday jewelry. If it doesn’t match – you won’t get the “wow” factor that you are hoping for when she opens the box.
Also, do some investigative work before you come in and find out if your wife is allergic to the nickel in white gold mixes. If so, don’t worry. You can go with platinum! It’s hypo-allergenic and will not cause any irritation to her ears.
5) Round is the most common.
We’re guys. We hate shopping too. The great thing about diamond stud earrings as a holiday gift is that they are simple. Most women flat out prefer round cut diamonds over any other cut for stud earrings. If your wife prefers something else like princess or cushion cut, just let us know. We literally have any type of diamond, and can do any type of diamond stud earring.
Make your holiday shopping easy this year. Get your wife diamond stud earrings and be done early.
