Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger were engaged back in January, and recently wed over the summer. We have all the details of their whirlwind, fairytale romance, including a look at Katherine’s gorgeous ring.
The Couple
Chris Pratt is the charismatic A-list actor we all know and love from his early days on Parks and Recreation to recent blockbuster Avengers Endgame. He was married to fellow actress Anna Faris in 2009 before they amicably split 8 years later. Shortly after, Chris and Katherine made their first public appearance.
It’s kinda hard NOT to know who Katherine Schwarzenegger is. Her famous dad turned politician (the one and only Arnold) is married to Maria Shriver, a well known broadcast journalist.
Katherine in an author and major animal advocate. She even authored a children’s book, Maverick and Me, which tells the story of her own adopted dog.
The couple obviously had similar Hollywood acquaintances and social circles, but it was Maria Shriver that made the first introduction. It wasn’t at a movie premiere, afterparty, or celebrity gala though. Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger officially met at church in 2018.
Pratt told Extra that their meeting was inevitable and that it was pure fate–’kismet’ he even called it. When you know, you know. The two were married around a year later!
The Engagement Story
Chris and Katherine were basically inseparable after they began dating. Chris popped the question just seven months later, but no one was surprised.
Although the couple have kept their relationship pretty private, it’s no secret they adore one another. A source close to the couple told Entertainment Tonight that Chris proposed with a romantic speech. He explained exactly how important Katherine is to him.
Chris, his ex Anna (mother of their 6 year old son, Jack), and Katherine all get along very well, which was important to Pratt. Katherine has taken on bonus mom duties and loves Jack just as her own.
The Ring
Pratt prosed to Katherine with a gorgeous, yet simple diamond ring. Sources say the ring features a six to seven carat center diamond that looks to be an elongated cushion cut set in a Harry Winston-style micro pavé halo.
The dainty band of Katherine’s ring helps showcase the stunning diamond. Thinner bands have actually been a major trend the past few years, and requests for this style keep rolling in.

The Wedding
Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger were married on June 8th in an intimate ceremony in front of close family and friends.
The couple wore one of a kind ensembles designed by Giorgio Armani. Pratt shared on Instagram that it was the best day of their lives, “It was intimate, moving and emotional. We feel so blessed to begin this new chapter of our lives….”
