Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich are the latest celebrity couple to get engaged, but the massive engagement ring may be the bigger news! We’re talking about a ring in the million dollar-ish range!

The Couple
Demi Lovato
Demi Lovato is an award winning, platinum recording pop artist and songwriter. You may remember her powerful, pre-COVID Grammy performance of the song, Anyone. She wrote the song after a 2018 drug overdose, and it was her first major performance after rehab.
She’s sold over two million albums and 20 million singles in the United States alone. Her career started on Disney Channel’s Camp Rock, alongside Joe Jonas. The two were later romantically linked in 2010, but it didn’t last long.
She also dated Wilmer Valderrama for 6 years. They broke up in 2016, but remain friends. He reportedly visited her in the hospital after her drug overdose.
Max Ehrich
Max Ehrich is an American actor, singer, and dancer. Ehrich is best known for his role on daytime tv series, The Young and the Restless. His character was Fenmore Baldwin. He also acted in Under the Dome and The Path.
Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich began dating in March of 2020. Sources aren’t exactly sure how the couple met. They fell in love hard and fast, and even quarantined together.
Engagement rumors surfaced as early as April, but it actually came true in July!
The Engagement Story
Ehrich planned a romantic sunset proposal on Malibu beach in California. The song Crash into Me by Dave Mathews Band played in the background as he dropped to one knee.
A photographer hid behind the rocks to capture the sweet moment. The couple later announced the engagement on each of their Insta accounts!
Lovato and Ehrich have grown super close since March. A source told People magazine that Ehrich is a great guy and good influence on Lovato, given her public struggle with mental health and substance abuse.
Per People, “He is very health conscious and doesn’t enjoy partying — he’s never seemed interested in the Hollywood club scene,” the source said. “He takes work very seriously and he is very focused.”
Demi shared a heartfelt tribute to Ehrich on her Instagram announcement:
“You never pressure me to be anything other than myself. And you make me want to be the best version of myself. I’m honored to accept your hand in marriage. Lovato’s engagement ring features a gigantic, emerald cut center diamond. In addition, it features a diamond on each side. Prince Harry brought the three stone engagement ring trend back to life with his proposal to Meghan Markle with.
Jewelry experts believe the diamond to weigh between 9 to 11.5 carats. Cost estimations vary across the board. Some experts value the ring around $250,000 to $300,00, while others suggest cost could be upwards of $850,000. It really depends on the quality and specific characteristics of the center gemstone.
The emerald cut diamond has become a favorite among celebrities over the years. Similarly, Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Lawrence, and Amal Clooney all have emerald cut engagement rings.
