Former model Cynthia Bailey and sportscaster Mike Hill were engaged last month, and you don’t want to miss all the blingy $85,000 details.

The Couple

Cynthia Bailey is a former Paris, Milan, and NYC model, but most recently jointed the Real Housewives of Atlanta show. The show originally featured her relationship with club owner Peter Thomas back in 2010, which eventually fazed out.

Mike Hill is an Emmy winning sports journalist. He moved from hosting to Sports Center on ESPN to breaking down NFL and NBA games on Fox. Both Mike and Cynthia are very family oriented and have children from past relationships.

They can thank good ole Steve Harvey match making skills. Cynthia appeared on Steve’s Dating Pool back in April of 2018 and Mike was one of three potential matches. The Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill chemistry was real, she picked him, and the rest is history!

The Engagement Story

In July, Bailey opened up Atlanta based The Bailey WineCellar, one of several businesses she owns. Hill chose that opening night celebration to pop the question, with proposal perfecting help from celebrity event planner, Courtney Ajinça.

Just when everyone thought Hill was raising a glass to toast Bailey on her new business venture, he held up a bottle of champaign with a question mark on it. Bailey’s daughter, Noelle handed over the ring, while both his daughters and Noelle displayed a puzzle piece sign that read ‘Can We Be a Family?’

Cynthia ecstatically said yes and told US Weekly “I had no idea that Mike was going to propose tonight! He and our beautiful daughters and Courtney got me real good and I’m so happy that my friends and family were here to witness everything. Wow! I can’t believe it.”

The Ring

Hill chose a stunning Simon G. Jewelry 5-carat princess cut solitaire ring for his bride to be. The ring’s 18k white gold setting features princess cut diamonds, accented by baguette diamonds and is worth almost $15k alone. Pair that with the $70,000 5-carat center gemstone and that’s a nice chunk of bling!

The $85,000 engagement ring was purchased at Solomon Brothers in Atlanta. A Simon G. Jewelry rep told People magazine “We’ve seen a lot of trends in bridal that integrate various diamond cuts, and Cynthia’s ring is absolutely stunning.”
