Next up in our celebrity engagement series– Ally Love and Andrew Haynes!
If you’re a Peloton owner, you’ve probably taken a class with THE Ally Love! She’s an instructor for the brand, as well as the host of the Brooklyn Nets.
We adore their story and the specially designed ring Haynes helped craft.
The Couple
Let’s get to know Ally Love and Andrew Haynes a bit better.
Ally Love
Ally is a 34 year old Florida native currently living in New York. Her career in fitness began way before the rise of Peloton, although she’s been an instructor since 2017.
She specialized in dance in high school, then went on to earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a dance major. Later, Love became a New York Knicks dancer and traveled with contemporary ballet companies throughout North America.
Love has also been the in-arena Brooklyn Nets host since 2012. And lastly, she’s a model (duh) and has been featured in ads for Victoria Secret, Reebok, Self Magazine, and Under Armour to name a few. She literally does it all!
Andrew Haynes
We don’t know much about Haynes, but Ally loves to show him off on social media (even though he’s not on the ‘gram). Her Peloton students also hear about him occasionally, minus all the juicy relationship details.
The couple met nearly a decade ago on New York City’s nightlife circuit through mutual friends, per her exclusive interview on The Knot. She shared, …”Our relationship started when we were young and fun, and we’ve grown together over time.”
She also said…”What’s happened and transpired–and we have many and great friends who got married sooner–is we never felt rushed. Andrew has always been a person who’s adamant about timing.”
The two apparently love to travel, and have been to 25 different countries together. The get-a-way proposal Haynes pulled off is perfection!
The Engagement Story
Haynes actually popped the question on Christmas Eve on a socially distanced, tropical vacation to Mexico’s Riviera Maya. The couple soaked up their time together throughout the holidays, and Love finally announced the engagement just after the New Year!
When the couple arrived at the resort, they shared a private, oceanfront dinner. Midway through, Haynes excused himself to the bathroom, but instead picked up the ring from a friend that flew in to assist.
Back at the table, the couple continued to engage in a year-in-review conversation. Midway though the discussion, Haynes dropped to one knee at just the perfect time. Of course Love said “YES!”
The night ended in a display of private fireworks on the beach!
The Ring

After nine years of dating, Haynes made sure to design the perfect ring.
Love recalls discussing what ring style she might like when the couple began dating, but remembered Haynes saying, “You don’t know what you want just yet. The ring is a symbol of the connection or your love, as a physical representation, and it should reflect the love itself and where you are in life.”
Haynes researched designs himself and worked closely with Danny Mikhay of Luxury Watch Collective in New York City’s Diamond District to bring the ring to life.
“Danny advised him on what’s best and he learned all things about diamonds and clarity and I sincerely had no idea,” Love shared with The Knot.
The ring features a beautiful four-to-five carat diamond solitaire on a on a double-shank, pave-diamond band.
While the ring certainly means a lot, words mean more to Love.
She told The Knot, “The ring is cool. It’s quite special because he designed it himself. But more importantly, it was that day, the conversation that we had prior to him bringing out the ring and getting on his knee and asking, ‘I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?'”
No wedding plans to mention as of yet, but Love said she wants to celebrate the nuptials with close friends and family.
She did say, “However it turns out, it will be a time to remember,” she pauses. “Not a day. We want it to be a time to remember.”
Best wishes for a lifetime of happiness!
